Convert HTML to PDF - Free, Private, No Upload

Paste HTML or drop an .html file and see it laid out on real pages before you save anything. The page is rendered by your own browser in a locked-down preview and turned into a PDF on this device, so an invoice, report or email template is never uploaded. Save as PDF uses your browser's PDF writer, which keeps text selectable and links clickable. A saved web page keeps its images and stylesheets too: drop the folder or a ZIP along with the HTML.

How to use this tool

  1. Add your HTML

Drop an .html file onto the box, or switch to Paste code and paste markup. A full page and a fragment both work. If the page uses local images, stylesheets or fonts, drop them with it as files, a folder or a ZIP, up to 50 MB in total.

  2. Choose the page

Pick A4, US Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or one long page with no breaks, then portrait or landscape and the margins. Tick Page numbers to number every page. The preview reflows at once and dashed lines show where each new page starts.

  3. Check what is missing

If the page names files you have not added, they are listed so you can add them. Images and stylesheets on other websites stay blocked until you click Load them, so nothing is requested behind your back.

  4. Save the PDF

Click Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF as the destination in the print dialog for a PDF with real, selectable text. For a single click with no dialog, use Make an image PDF, then Download image PDF.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my HTML uploaded to a server?

No. The HTML and any files you add are read, laid out and written to PDF by your browser, and they never leave your device. The preview is sandboxed: scripts cannot run, and images or stylesheets on other websites are only fetched if you click Load them. Nothing is stored, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.

What is the difference between Save as PDF and the image PDF?

Save as PDF uses your browser's own PDF writer, so the text stays real: you can select it, search it and click its links, and the file is small. The image PDF stores each page as a sharp picture, which takes one click and looks identical everywhere, but its text cannot be selected or searched.

Will my CSS, fonts and images come through?

Yes, because the page is laid out by a real browser engine, so modern CSS such as flexbox, grid and web fonts renders as it does on screen. Local images and stylesheets must be added along with the HTML, since a browser tab cannot read files from your disk. Remote files load once you allow them.

How do I control where the pages break?

Use the standard CSS page-break properties, which this tool honours in both outputs. Put break-before: page on an element to start it on a new page, and break-inside: avoid on a table, card or figure to keep it in one piece. Without them, pages end between lines of text, never through one.

Can I convert a website address (URL) to PDF?

Not here, because a page in your browser is not allowed to read another website's HTML, and fetching it on a server would mean uploading your request. To save a live page, press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on a Mac) on that site, or save it with Save Page As, complete, and drop the folder here.

Why is content built by JavaScript missing from my PDF?

Scripts in your HTML do not run, so anything a script would draw, such as a chart or a list filled in after loading, does not appear. That keeps pasted code from doing anything on this site. Export the finished HTML from your app, or print the page from the browser tab where it already works.
