Join several PDFs into a single document in seconds. Add your files, drag them into the order you want, optionally reorder pages inside any document, then download one merged PDF. Everything happens locally in your browser — your documents are never uploaded to a server, so even confidential contracts and financial statements stay entirely on your device.

How to use this tool

  1. Add your PDF files

Drag two or more PDFs onto the drop area, or click to browse. Keep adding files — there's no fixed limit, and each can be up to 100 MB.

  2. Arrange the documents

Drag any document by its handle to change the merge order. Use the up/down arrows for keyboard control. The number badge shows each file's final position.

  3. Reorder pages (optional)

Click "Pages" on any document to expand a thumbnail view, then drag pages into a new order within that file before merging.

  4. Merge and download

Click Merge PDFs. Your browser assembles the combined file locally and offers it for immediate download — nothing is sent anywhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server when I merge them?

No. Unlike iLovePDF or Smallpdf, ConvertOwl merges your files entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript. Your PDFs never travel over the network, are never stored, and never touch our servers — which is why this works even with sensitive legal or financial documents.

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can combine?

There's no hard cap on the number of files. The practical limit is your device's available memory, since all pages are held in the browser while merging. Combining dozens of typical documents works smoothly; very large scanned files use more memory per page.

Will merging change the quality of my pages?

No. Merging copies each page exactly as it is — text stays selectable, images keep their original resolution, and no re-compression happens. The merged PDF is a faithful assembly of your source pages with no quality loss whatsoever.

Can I choose the order of the documents and pages?

Yes. Drag whole documents to set their sequence, and expand any document to drag its individual pages into a new order. The final PDF follows exactly the arrangement you see on screen before clicking Merge.

Do merged PDFs get a watermark?

Never. ConvertOwl adds no watermarks, badges, or promotional pages to your output. The merged file contains only your content, and the tool is completely free with no sign-up required.

What happens to bookmarks, forms, or links inside the PDFs?

Page content, images, and hyperlinks embedded on the pages are preserved. Document-level features like global bookmarks or interactive form fields may not carry across, since merging focuses on faithfully combining the visible pages of each source file.
