Is my PDF uploaded when I reorder pages?

No. Reordering is done entirely in your browser with pdf-lib, and thumbnails are rendered locally. Your document is never sent to or stored on a server, so rearranging pages in a private file is completely safe and leaves no copy anywhere.

Can I reorder pages with a keyboard instead of dragging?

Yes. Tab to focus a page, then hold Alt and press the left or right arrow keys to move that page earlier or later in the sequence. The tool is built to be fully keyboard accessible, not just mouse and touch driven.

Does reordering change the content or quality of pages?

Not at all. Pages are copied into their new positions exactly as they were — text stays selectable and images keep full resolution. Reordering only changes the sequence; the pages themselves are never re-encoded or degraded.

Will the new order be saved permanently in the file?

Yes. The sequence you set is written into the PDF itself, so every viewer opens the pages in your chosen order. It's a real change to the document, not a temporary view, and it travels with the file wherever you send it.

Can I combine reordering with deleting pages?

This tool focuses on reordering, but you can chain tools: delete unwanted pages first with the Delete PDF Pages tool, then reorder the result here. Each step runs locally in your browser, so your document never gets uploaded at any point.

Does it work on large or scanned PDFs?

Yes. Thumbnails render lazily and off the main thread, so even a document with a couple hundred scanned pages stays smooth to scroll and rearrange. Very large files use more memory, but the interface remains responsive throughout.
